OPI Shrek Collection: Who the Shrek Are You?

OPI Who the Shrek Are You? (3 coats)

Who the Shrek Are You? is a very unique pea green creme. I can understand that this color isn't for everyone, but I love it! Since I work with photosynthetic bacteria, this color is near and dear to my heart. The lab next to ours works with an organism called Prochlorococcus. Prochlorococcus is a very small marine picophytoplankton that is extremely abundant in nutrient poor parts of the ocean (there can be over 100,000 cells per milliliter of seawater!). Like plants, they go through photosynthesis using carbon dioxide to produce oxygen we consume. Prochlorococcus and other cyanobacteria are so prevalent in seawater that you can thank cyanobacteria for 1 out of every 4 breaths you take! Not too shabby for a tiny organism, right?
