This week's "Hidden Gem" DVD pick for CBC Radio is Pontypool, director Bruce McDonald's clever, Cronenbergian mashup of Night of the Living Dead, Talk Radio, and a Ph.D. thesis in linguistics. I must say, it was great fun to go on a morning radio show in Edmonton and talk about a movie that takes place during a zombie attack on a morning radio show in northern Canada. However, the only zombie in the studio, I fear, was me — I didn't down my usual pre-segment cup of coffee, and I think my energy was a little low here. See what you think: here's the link to click.
